OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST In the framework of the project “Strengthening STI Systems for Sustainable Development in Africa”, and its output 2: “Awareness of and commitment to the 2017 Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers and its 10 key areas among African governments and science institutions raised by targeted advocacy in support of its relevance to SDG challenges” and as part of its performance indicator “visibility of the key 10 areas of the 2017 Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers on social media (impressions and reach metrics)”:  
Map current social media visibility level of the key 10 areas of the 2017 Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers on social media in Africa and each pilot countryDetermine the current level / number of followersCreate a list of key words to track related to the key 10 areas of the 2017 Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers on social mediaTrack the evolution of key 10 areas of the 2017 Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers on social media socialProduce analytic reports with key figures, trends that show the evolution of the use of key 10 areas of the 2017 Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers on social media, including user type, incidence of messages, likes, clicks, shares, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education:  Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent)  in communications, international relations, development natural sciences, social and human sciences or other related fields.
Language:  Excellent written English and French
Experience: At least 5 years of work experience  in the field of social media tracking
Experience in working in Africa or with African partners
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Experience working for a UN agency or an international organization.
