Design Draughtsperson (Projects / Mining / Drawing) – Limpopo
Limpopo, South AfricaReference Number: 116-0803LH  Job Description: Our client is seeking a Design Draughtsperson  from a background in mining projects to join their team in Limpopo for the design and compilation of 2D and 3D concept drawings, 3D models and detail drawings, using sound engineering practices as well as CAD & drafting standards.  Responsibilities: Producing mechanical, piping, structural and civil designs for complex projects.Producing civil rebar designs, detailing and schedules.Performing basic load and material usage analyses for mechanical material selections.Performing basic plant process function analyses for piping related material selections.Performing basic loading analyses for structural elements and for connections designs.Collaborating with Engineers for the design and sign off of drawings.Producing general drawings and detailing in all disciplines.Undertaking physical site measurements and other technical data as required.Assisting in resolving design and drafting issues from colleagues and clients.Collaborating with production, engineering staff and EPCM / contractors on projects.Ensuring that own and contractor supplied documentation complies with company requirements.Maintaining drafting and specifications standards to PMC GS Standards, SANS and BS.Assisting in coaching and mentoring of junior staff.  Requirements: Qualification and Skill National Diploma  in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering (S4 / T4 or higher).Matric with Mathematics and Science. 5 years’ experience as Design Draughtsperson  for mining projects (with a portfolio of at least 10 technical drawings).Advanced skills on AutoCAD 2D & 3D or Inventor essential.Eligible for SAID membership.Excellent understanding of engineering technical principles.Valid driver’s license.  Benefits and Contractual information: Permanent contract.Relocation required.
