The Women’s Fund of Weld County is seeking proposals for its grant program. It was founded in 1999 by women from the community dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls.

The Women’s Fund, a charitable fund of the Weld Community Foundation, was established with the purpose of creating a permanent fund to find, fund and nurture programs that address unmet needs of women and girls in Weld County to enable them to become self-confident, independent, contributing members of the community. Over the life of the fund, more than $340,000 has been awarded from The Women’s Fund to Weld County organizations.

The funding focus is solely on programs that support girls and women of Weld County.
Within this focus, the Women’s Fund concentrates its funding in two strategic areas:
girls’ futures; and
girls’ and women’s education, employment, training, and self-development.
Grants will be evaluated based on:
the greatest impact on women/girls who will benefit from the grant
alignment with the Women’s Fund Criteria
the quality and need for the project.

The Grants Committee will begin review of received grant applications beginning July 15. Clarification requests regarding applications will be emailed to applicants in August.
They evaluate grant applications using many ratings, including our Funding Focus and Criteria (below). Please refer to these guidelines before writing and submitting your grant application to ascertain if your project is aligned with their guidelines.
