Job Summary

Our growing company is searching for a Content Associate that can read, write and speak French & English to join our marketing team to support the Senior Content Manager with content development and execution across all our channels. The Content Associate will be responsible for writing key pieces of content as well translating content written by the team. You will be writing creative content across digital and offline channels to educate, persuade, engage and inspire customers. You will play a key role in:

  • the success of our inbound and outbound marketing campaigns.
  • positioning the business as a leading voice in the industry.
  • developing content to drive brand awareness, conversion and engagement.

Regional marketing collateral

  • The Content Associate should be a creative digital content enthusiast who will focus and give attention to our digital communication channels and must have a strong understanding of how to tailor content to each social media platform – LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.
  • The ideal candidate has to be French & English-speaking, reading and writing, should have experience in content development gained within a B2B environment. It will be advantageous if the candidate has experience in the financial services sector and keeps abreast with the financial market to create relevant and high-quality content for our personas.
  • This role will report to the Senior Content Manager and can be based out of Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Kenya or Uganda.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging content to attract our target audience and achieve the business objectives (brand awareness, traffic generation through SEO, lead generation, thought leadership…)
  • Support creating and translating social media content which will showcase AZA Finance’s products throughout the customer journey. Support with lead nurturing, lead conversion in collaboration with the marketing automation manager (support in writing copy for website, all social media channels, landing pages, ads, blog articles, emails, newsletter, use-cases, sms, lead magnet…)
  • Work with cross functional teams (Sales, Product, Account Management…) to produce content supporting demand generation, product education, engagement, customer satisfaction and retention
  • Explore different ideas and concepts for both the visual and verbal elements, language styles to appeal to various target audiences in tandem with the graphic designer. Customise the content to delight our personas
  • Ensure all content produced supports AZA Finance’s brand identity, is consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and is optimised for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, mobile, video, print…
  • Understand how to measure, monitor and analyse content on the various channels to make improvements accordingly and capitalise on high performing content
  • Work closely with the Social Media associate and the Graphic designer
  • Work with agencies or consultants on various projects (write creative briefs).

You’re likely to have the following personal skills:

  • A degree in Communications, Journalism, English or any related field
  • French-speaking and can develop content for french-speaking regions
  • 2 – 3 years agency experience or in a similar role in a financial ecosystem or financial services.
  • Adept at keyword placement and experience with SEO best practices
  • Creative, excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Google Analytics
  • Proficiency with popular content management systems, knowledge of HTML is a plus
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media management
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (Marketing Cloud, Hubspot…)
  • Experience in Financial services
  • Team player
