Summary: The work schedule is Full Time 40 number of hours per week.

Duties Under the general supervision of the General Services Officer (GSO), oversees and coordinates the work of various GSO sections; supply/warehouse, procurement, leasing, shipping and receiving, and motorpool.  Secret clearance is required for this position.

Serves as principal assistant and advisor to the GSO.  Has responsibility for supervising and ensuring the execution of USG strategy for the following GSO functions: Simplified Acquisition Procurement, Real Property Management, Shipping, Motor Vehicle Inventory and Usage Management, Travel, and Personal Property Management, to include all expendable and non-expendable supply activities.  Indirectly supervises 72 GSO employees, including six Locally Engaged (LE) section supervisors.  Delegates work as appropriate to the GSO sections, providing assistance with training and counseling as appropriate. Collaborates with the GSO as needed on completing LE staff annual reviews.  Supervises ongoing projects within GSO and tracks progress of ongoing assignments.  Manages control of the GSO key box, including monitoring the key sign in/out process, and ensures that keys are accounted for at the end of every business day.                                                                                                                                  Housing Pool Logistics Manager – Assists the GSO in supervising all aspects of Post housing activities, including: managing the Welcome Kit program, inspecting house make-readies for final occupancy, ensuring all residential property is well-maintained, assisting with an annual real estate survey, and working with the RSO and FM offices to ensure all residential property at Post meets all security and health safety standards.  Maintains and updates database of vacant homes to match incoming arrivals using criteria set in 15 FAM.  Coordinates all new or updated information with the GSO and FM in make-ready efforts, manages the entire make-ready process, which includes: Welcome Kits, the furniture pool (including refurbishing of furniture), and coordination with other departments or the relevant landlord on housing issues.  Collaborates with the GSO, FM, and RSO on determining the suitability of new leases.                                                                                          
Property Manager – Assists the GSO in supervising all aspects of Post property management, including: the receipt of expendable and non-expendable property and supplies; management of warehouse storage logistics; issuance of property; organization of disposal sales; performing annual inventories; and preparing property-related correspondence and reports.                                       
Escort duties to include access to the CAA, residences, and government owned/leased property.  
Special projects as assigned by the GSO.                                                                                           
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements: EXPERIENCE:  At least three years of administrative work plus a minimum of one year of supervisory experience  are required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE : Standard knowledge of general office operations as well as Microsoft Office computer programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  A general understanding of Embassy security, maintenance, warehousing and the housing pool program is a plus.  Must be able to learn the various software used by the GSO section (including ILMS/Ariba, MyServices, etc.) and operate effectively with this software within six months of employment.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma is required.
Evaluations: LANGUAGE:  Level IV (fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Optional:  Good interpersonal skills are critical.  Must possess the ability to prioritize large numbers of varied tasks in a timely manner and follow instructions.  Must be organized, and self-schedule tasks and follow-up as appropriate.  Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle in Niger.
