Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Dakar, Senegal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Food and Recreation Coordinator.

Duties
The Food and Recreation Coordinator (FARC) is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Embassy gym, pool area, and Ebbets field.
The FARC is the Government Technical Monitor (GTM) responsible for overseeing the Licensing Agreement for the cafeteria’s license to provide food products and delivery and is the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) on all contracts related to the gym, pool, and Ebbets Field.
Directly supervised by the Management-Expanded Professional Associate (EPAP).
Receives work guidance from the Cafeteria Licensing Officer, Contracting Officer, Facility Manager, and Management Counselor.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
Two years of administrative or managerial work experience is required.

Education Requirements:
Two years of college education required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English Level IV (fluent) is required. (This may be tested.)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to work independently.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Must be able to create, manipulate, analyze, and interpret numerical data; database, word-processing and spreadsheet.
Accuracy is more important than typing speed. (This may be tested.)

Qualifications:
All applicants under consideration will be required to pass security certification.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

Other Information:
Candidates who are EFMs, USEFMs, AEFMs, or MOHs must have at least one year remaining on their sponsor’s tour of duty to be considered eligible to apply for this position.

IMPORTANT:

Veteran must submit a copy of their most recent DD-214 (“Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty”), equivalent documentation, or certification.
A “certification” is any written document from the armed forces that certifies the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions within 120 days after the certification is submitted by the applicant. The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain
(1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and
(2) the character of service.
Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.

This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
