Kyrgyzstan: Grants to Strengthen the Capacity of Civil Society Organizations

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) invites Civil Society Institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and / or non-governmental legal entities operating in the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the call for proposals “to support strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations to promote human rights policies and strengthen the rule of law”

Objectives

Developing toolkit for civil society organizations to promote policy to protect human rights and strengthen the rule of law in accordance with international standards and disseminate it widely;
Conducting training activities on promotion of policy to protect human rights and strengthen the rule of law for civil society organizations and the academic and expert community, taking into account regional representation;
Provision of systematic advice and accompaniment (mentoring) to at least three civil society organizations on the promotion of policies to protect human rights and strengthen the rule of law.
Funding Information

The maximum allowable budget is up to USD $20,000.
All projects shall be implemented within the period starting from signing of the Low-Value Grant Agreement with UNDP till January 31, 2022.
Target locations: The whole Kyrgyz Republic.

Eligibility Criteria

Civil Society Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations and/or non-governmental legal entities established and registered in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Proposals from a consortium of two or more non-profit organizations established and registered in the Kyrgyz Republic shall be accepted.
All Consortium members – Low-Value Grant Applicants shall be legal entities established and registered in the Kyrgyz Republic as non-profit organizations in accordance with the current legislation.
The Applicant shall submit the project proposal on behalf of one of the organizations authorized by the consortium member organizations to represent the consortium, with all subsequent commitments to its members and the Grantor.
There would be an asset if the Low-Value Grant applicant has participation experience national legal reform;
The project proposal is composed in strict accordance with the format; the information provided is complete, accurate and clear.
