Early Grant Information for NGOs

Education Outreach Grants must directly support education programs for public school children in grades K–12. These may be in-school- or out-of-school-time programs; they may serve students and/or teachers, educators and public school administrators, and maybe school or community-based. The key for eligibility here is the K-12 public school focus.

Community Outreach Grants meet their mission and vision of innovative programming, collaboration, and advocacy for lifelong learning. Community Outreach Grants are not required to solely support K-12 public education. Early Childhood, adult learning, basic needs initiatives or community events are a few areas that fall under this category.
