Life Comes From It is currently inviting requests for funding for projects and collaborations from restorative justice, transformative justice, and indigenous peacemaking organizations.

Small grants of $2,500–$25,000 is given to organizations by Life Comes From It. Most grants will be one-time-only, though there may be exceptions. To receive a grant, you need to be a 501c3 organization or be fiscally sponsored by a 501c3.
Life Comes From It is a grantmaking circle. They support grassroots movement-building in restorative justice, transformative justice, and indigenous peacemaking, with work rooted in lived experience and relationships.

Life Comes From It aims to support projects, organizations, and collaborations that embody these values:
Commitment to working towards replacing criminalization and incarceration with alternative approaches to address violence and repair harm rooted in community solutions
Prioritizing peacemaking development and indigenous initiatives led by Native people
Rooting the work in the community’s own culture(s), language(s), place(s), faith(s), and belief system(s) so it reflects the people that engage in it
Guided by the wisdom of people, families, and communities of color
Commitment to anti-oppression practices
Supporting the creation of new thinking and language that is holistic, intersectional, interdependent, and liberatory
Promoting and sustaining collective leadership, collaboration, and partnership
Living the values of the work internally and externally to build community and heal harm within and against communities
Intergenerational inclusivity—people of all generations: youth, adults, elders are encouraged to apply

To receive a grant, you need to be a 501c3 organization or be fiscally sponsored by a 501c3. If you are neither, they can help connect you to fiscal sponsors. Organizations must be based in the United States.
You can apply for Life Comes From It grant to support your organization’s work or to support a Network, Convenings, and Collaborations that enhance movement-building in restorative justice, transformative justice, or indigenous peacemaking.
The Application Process
They have moved to a new application process. Organizations can submit a letter of introduction at any point in the year, letting them know a bit about your organization and how you would use a potential grant from us.
The letters of introduction will be reviewed by the Advisory Circle in the fall. After this, they will reach out for more information if they need it.
If you have already received a grant from Life Comes From It, you do not need to send a letter of introduction; they have you on our list of organizations to consider for funding.
The application process is simple, please use the online platform to submit your letter of introduction. Organizations are required to answer a few simple questions online. You are welcome to submit a video no longer than five minutes instead of written responses. They also request that you include two references and a resume or bio.
